Home Reversion Plans

For your peace of mind, we do not charge any upfront fees for Independent Equity Release advice for releasing equity in your home.

A Home Reversion Plan allows you to release funds from all or part of the value of your property while retaining the right to remain there, rent free, for the rest of your life.

Our Independent Financial Advisors (IFA), are specialists in Home Reversion Plans for clients in across East Sussex. From our base in Eastbourne, we help customers in Brighton, Hove, Tunbridge Wells, Newhaven, Lewes, Seaford, Hastings, Uckfield, Bexhill and Crowborough. As a result of recommendations from current clients we are providing home reversion planning advice well beyond the East Sussex borders too. To arrange a free initial discussion at your home, workplace or our offices contact us today.

As a consumer, one of the most important things to look out for in your home reversion advisor is the Equity Release Council logo. Clifford Osborne is approved by the Equity Release Council, an associate member of the Society of Later Life Advisers (SOLLA) and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

How Home Reversion Works

The provider will purchase all or part of your house taking into account your age and health and will provide you with a tax-free cash lump sum (or regular payments) and a lifetime lease.

There is no day-to-day interference and no restrictions on treating the house exactly as before; as a private home to live in freely. The percentage you retain in your property will always remain the same regardless of the change in property values, unless you decide to take further cash releases.

At the end of the plan your property is sold and the sale proceeds are shared according to the remaining proportions of ownership. With both a Lifetime Mortgage and a Home Reversion Plan it is possible to give a homeowner certainty in their future finances.

We can help you establish how taking out a Lifetime Mortgage or a Home Reversion Plan might affect your tax position, your eligibility for means-tested benefits or your ability to move or sell your property.

We offer clients a truly independent advice service and a genuine home reversion specialism. Initial meetings are without cost or obligation with Paul Clifford Dip PFS Cert CII (MP ER) Cert (DM), Later Life Specialist Adviser. Please contact Paul with any questions you may have.
